- Les Paul Robley: How often do you outside your dreams and ideas and use outside subject matter for your paintings
HR Giger: It depends what you do. if you've drunk too much wine and take some sleeping pills, it could create a melange that brings you outside this room or makes you go in through the walls, but it often happens to me, things like that. I'm curious how it works, but I never found out. (Easy Reader, Vol XVII, no 50, July 14 1988, p29) - CFQ:Have you ever had a supernatural experience?
HR Giger: Yes. Sometimes I go out of my body from my bed and fly about forty or fifty cenimetres off the ground. I can see my feet in the foreground. This has happened about eight times. Sometimes I've drunk too much wine or taken some sleeping pills. I feel myself go outside this room right through the walls (Cinefantastique vol 18, n4, May 1988, p39) - Conor Creighton: Is there any way that you can control the dreams and manipulate your surroundings from within the dream?
HR Giger: Yeah sometimes it happens and I can remember when I’m in a dream. Or I get the feeling like I’m out of my body. A long time ago, about 10 or even 20 years ago, I had that. But it didn’t happen to me often. Probably four or five times but yeah, that was strong. Conor Creighton: Was it frightening? HR Giger: No. It wasn’t frightening. It was just, well, I was so surprised.(conorcreighton.wordpress.com/2009/12/08/) & (www.vice.com/)
